Mr. Rubenfeld is a Founder of the Law Offices of Daren Rubenfeld, P.A., a multi-discipline law practice in the State of Florida specializing in Commercial Transactional Law. In addition, to the Florida Bar Association he is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar and the Bar for the United States District Court.
Mr. Rubenfeld was Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Main Street, a full-service Real Estate Management and Development Company. During his 12-year tenure, he instituted a complete reorganization of the corporate structure improving efficiency and providing meaningful reporting for strategic management and growth resulting in an increase of company net worth from $100 Million to $500 Million. He structured and closed over $250 Million in loans and negotiated a $350 Million Incentive Package from Osceola County, Florida. Mr. Rubenfeld successfully structured the $40 Million land acquisition of a prime parcel in the Orlando market and supervised the DRI approval process through the Governor’s Office. He was also able to negotiate the $30 Million buyout of limited partner Nomura at the discounted rate of $7 Million and sold more than $100 Million of real estate. Under his direction tenant occupancy increased from 70% to 99% and he was the Chairman for the Shingle Creek CDD Board of Supervisors. Mr. Rubenfeld acts as Trustee for some of the firms holdings in his emeritus status.
Mr. Rubenfeld previously presided as Counsel for Ocwen Financial Corporation where he oversaw all aspects of litigation management for the Public Holding and Investment Company. Mr. Rubenfeld assisted in the absorption of more than $500 Million in acquisitions of Bankruptcy and Foreclosure portfolios. He overhauled a $100 Million Bankruptcy Portfolio which significantly improved timeline accuracy, meeting deadlines and accurately tracked Bankruptcy Plans. He was also able to streamline the operations of several departments resulting in more efficient resolutions and loan payoffs. His use of strategic thinking while operating tactically to reduce costs and improve profits enabled the company to foster a strong culture of teamwork and high performance.
His education includes a Juris Doctor degree from Washington University, School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University, School of Arts and Sciences.
