Mr. Papagno has over 25 years experience in commercial and residential real estate operating in a variety of roles: Loan origination and underwriting, operations and management, owner and partner.
In depth experience in loan origination, underwriting, modifications, due diligence of residential and commercial loans and portfolios.
Emphasis on condo development and condotel, retail centers, office and hospitality. Served as Managing Director of New River Funding, a Florida boutique real estate lender. Assisted builder developers with spec financing and mezzanine/construction mortgage for a variety of projects in Sarasota, Ft Myers, Ft Lauderdale and Miami.
Earlier in his career, he co-founded, operated and subsequently sold - World Residential Mortgage, a boutique mortgage banking firm to a NASDAQ traded company. World Residential had a record $600MM of funded loans for the year of the sale. (2000).
Mr. Papagno began his career as a bond and whole loan secondary marketing trader with MCG Portfolio Mgmt., Completed several record trade during 1986-90. Successfully traded over $500 MM of consumer type assets with notable institutional buyers and sellers. Firms included, Goldome Bank, Sovran Bank, NCNB, Maryland Bank, First New England, and Ford Consumer Finance. Norwest and Numerica.
